Joey (JW) Clements is a nationally regarded advisor to corporate executives, general counsel, and private clients navigating sensitive, high-risk, and high-consequence environments. With over three decades of experience spanning military service, law enforcement leadership, private security, and executive-level crisis management, he brings a rare depth of operational clarity and strategic insight to every engagement.

A former U.S. Marine Infantry Sergeant and MSG (Embassy and Diplomatic Protection), King Ranch Security, Master Texas Peace Officer, and Honorary Texas Ranger Capt., Joey (JW) has held senior roles in public and private sector security—including oversight of large-scale operations, internal investigations, and complex stakeholder engagements. He has advised organizations across energy, land management, critical infrastructure, and litigation-sensitive industries, and has served as an elected official, trusted with high-stakes decisions in both tactical and executive settings.

As a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Specialist in Safety & Health (SSH), Joseph delivers proactive, mission-ready counsel through 1836 Advisory, providing trusted, direct access to decision-makers who demand discretion, precision, and proven leadership under pressure.
